Dr. Arny is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Florida.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in 2005.  Knowing that he wished to pursue the counseling profession, he attended Stetson University and earned a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2009.

 

Dr. Arny furthered his education and specialization by becoming a fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Sexology earning a Ph.D. in Clinical Sexology in 2016.  He is certified to practice Sex Therapy in the state of Florida by meeting the requirements and establishing diplomate status set by the American Board of Sexology.

Dr. Arny believes that when we can explore our inner most thoughts and feelings in a safe, understanding and non-judgmental environment, that we can begin exploring the possibilities of relating to our-selves differently and in turn relating to others differently, leading to shifts in perspective.  

 

Therapy is your place to feel safe and express yourself.  The path of change in your life includes both self-awareness and action. Dr. Arny's goal with his patients' is to explore the tools they can use to encourage greater psychological flexibility and living towards their defined values in creating the changes that they wish to see in their lives.

Dr. Arny is passionate about learning new ways to enhance therapy and promoting a balanced approach to mental health care.  He enjoys teaching/sharing his knowledge and experiences with others in the hopes of ultimately helping people live life on their terms.  Dr. Arny believes in maintaining the balance between life domains and enjoys reading, learning, practicing the martial arts and sharing time with his family and friends.
